Booking Policy for Horseback Rides

Thank you for choosing our horseback riding adventure. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all our guests, please review and adhere to the following booking policy:

Reservation and Deposit

Advance Booking: All horseback rides must be booked at least 48 hours before the desired trip date.

Deposit: To secure your reservation, you must pay a 50% deposit when booking. This deposit will be applied to the ride’s total cost, with the remaining balance due before the trip. Cash only is accepted for payments the day of the trip.

Payment Methods: We accept payments via cash, credit card, debit card, or electronic transfer.

Cancellation and Rescheduling

Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel your reservation, please notify us at least 48 hours before your scheduled ride. Cancellations made within this timeframe will receive a full refund of their pre-paid amount. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice will forfeit the 50% deposit.

Rescheduling: You may reschedule your ride without penalty if you do so at least 48 hours before the scheduled trip. Rescheduling requests will be subject to availability and may incur additional fees.

No-Show Policy: If you do not show up for your scheduled ride and have not notified us in advance, the full cost of the ride will be charged.

Weather Policy

Weather Conditions: Safety is our top priority. Rides will proceed in light rain or shine but may be rescheduled in the event of severe weather conditions (e.g., thunder or lightning storms, hail, extreme heat). We will contact you as soon as possible if your ride needs to be rescheduled due to weather.

Liability and Safety

Waiver: All riders must sign a liability waiver before participating in horseback riding activities. Minors must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.

Safety Gear: We offer helmets to all riders; Riders who do not want to wear protective helmets must sign an appropriate waiver denying the equipment.

Other Suggested Safety Precautions: We will be on wooded trails and recommend the following items to make your ride safe and comfortable:

  • Long pants and closed-toe shoes are recommended. 
  • While tank tops and short sleeves are okay, know that you may have to push branches away to prevent being scratched. 
  • Remember your sunscreen, hat and glasses. 
  • At high altitudes and in dry climates, hydration is essential. Some of the horses will have saddlebags, so feel free to bring your water bottles or canteens, and the horse will carry those for you. 

Special Requirements

Rider Requirements: Please inform us of any special requirements or accommodations when booking. We strive to accommodate all guests but may have limitations based on safety and available resources.

Age Limit: Riders must be at least six years old to participate in our horseback riding activity. (We offer 30-minute “Pony Rides,” where our wranglers walk and lead horses so younger children can enjoy a riding experience.)

Single Rider Requirement: For safety reasons, we only allow one rider per horse. Double riding is not permitted.

Weight Limit: Our horses can accommodate riders up to a specific weight limit. Please inquire about our weight limit policy when booking.

Tip Policy

Tipping: If you enjoy your ride, please hug your horse and tip your guide. Your appreciation and generosity are greatly valued.
