Wolf Creek Outfitters, Inc., WCO, offers private land elk hunts on numerous ranches in Southwest Colorado and Northern New Mexico. The areas available to hunt are vast, and offer a variety of opportunities for a successful hunting experience. Methods of hunt for elk vary according to our hunters’ capabilities. Horseback hunts are available. During rut, hunt via spot and stalk, with a guide calling the elk in. ATVs may be used to get you to a hunting area, and you may hunt from a tree-stand or blind. Colorado – Application Deadline
Tuesday, April 4, 2017 – There are seasons in-which you may purchase Over the Counter (OTC) tags. *It is highly recommended that you call WCO, to discuss the application process, season and unit prior to this date.

2017 Colorado Elk Hunting Season Dates 

Archery (OTC): August 26 – September 24
Muzzleload (draw only): September 9 – September 17
1st Rifle (draw only): October 14 – October 18
2nd Rifle (OTC): October 21 – October 29
3rd Rifle (OTC): November 4 – November 12
4th Rifle (draw only): November 14 – November 19

Non-Resident Bull/Fishing Combo: $644.00 + $10habitat = $654.00
Non-Resident Either-Sex/Fishing Combo: $644.00 + $10habitat  = $654.00
Non-Resident Cow/Fishing Combo: $484.00 + $10habitat = $494.00
Non-Resident Youth/Fishing Combo: $103.75 + $10habitat = $113.75
Resident Adult: $49.00 + $10habitat = $59.00
Resident Youth: $13.75 + $10habitat = $23.75

Contract, Deposit & Payment information
WCO requires all clients to enter a contract when reserving hunt dates. A 50% deposit is required. In the event a client does not draw their tag, we can occasionally adjust schedules to a date that will accommodate the purchase of an over the counter tag (OTC). In the event adjustments can not be made, your deposit will be refunded in full, with-in 15 days. The balance is due 30 days prior to arrival.  We accept check, cash, Visa or MasterCard.
